Claudiu Negrisan – Partner

Prior to founding Platinum Capital in 2008, Mr. Radu served as the CEO of Tiriac Holding, the largest Romanian business conglomerate, and also of Autorom, Daimler automobiles importer in Romania. During his tenure, he drafted a new business strategy for the group, clarifying the key business lines and implementing a private equity portfolio management approach. Under his leadership in 2005, Tiriac Bank, one of the key assets of the group, was merged with HVB Romania and subsequently with Unicredit Romania, the result being the existing Unicredit Tiriac Bank positioned as a top 5 bank.

Before Tiriac Holding, Mr. Radu has held various positions with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants where he was involved in many advisory projects across diverse industries and business issues, including restructurings, mergers & acquisitions, strategy, privatization, process re-engineering etc.

Mr. Radu graduated with a Master degree from Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and has also completed executive studies at INSEAD France.

Prior to joining Platinum Capital, Mr. Negrisan has served as Head of Advisory Services at SOAR Turnaround Management, a Romanian restructuring advisory firm. While at SOAR, Mr. Negrisan was involved in numerous restructuring and M&A projects across various industries, for a client portfolio with aggregate debt and/or enterprise value in excess of EUR 270 mln. From 2007 to 2009 he worked as an independent consultant, first seeking to raise a private equity special situations fund and then providing consulting services to private companies and PE funds.

From 2005 to 2007 Mr. Negrisan has held the role of Country Managing Director for SIMMO AG, the publicly listed Real Estate Investment Fund of Erste Bank Group, responsible with over EUR 300 mln investments in the Romanian property market.

While living in Denmark, Mr. Negrisan has worked as consultant for BPT Asset Management, a Scandinavian boutique asset management firm focused on the Baltic region.

He has also an entrepreneurial background, having founded, developed and sold a recycled products trading business and also a real estate company.
Mr. Negrisan received an MBA from Copenhagen Business School, and has a Bachelor degree from the Technical Military Academy. He is also a Certified Investment Advisor and serves as a Board Director for Turnaround Management Association Romania. He is a retired Lieutenant of the Romanian Air Force.
